Welcome to HOUSE.IE, the
Irish house & home website. It is hoped that a detailed property price register will be ready by June 2012
according to the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA), which will publish the house price
register. An amendment to a bill, which
passed committee stage in the Dáil in mid-October 2011 orders that details of residential property sales
prices, including the address, price paid and date of sale, will be included in the register. The plan is to
publish as much information as possible with the information going back at least two years. We hope to include
Irish property prices on this website, if we are allowed, which should then give internet users instant access to
Irish house sale prices. As site users are aware
the Irish housing market continues to be affected by
economic woes which are dominating the global economic agenda. In autumn 2011 market surveys showed that house
prices were still continuing to fall with Dublin house prices at least 50% below their peak, with houses
taking twice as long to sell in some areas of Ireland. Some reports have suggested that home asking
prices actually rose in Carlow in summer-autumn 2011 but elsewhere in 2011 there were house price falls inIreland.
